The sun rose and set,
The heavens and earth stood still,
The world, by nature, flourished and grew.

Oh, red sun, glowing in your own hue,
Without you, flowers and grass would not bloom,
Without you, the path would never be found.
You are a steadfast and radiant light,
Without you, neither humans nor creatures could live,
With you, they are free and safe.

You soar above, ever rising high,
Yet the earth forever takes from you.
A fireball blazing in the sky,
Warming the plains and the hills,
Warming both heights and depths,
Filling all with your light.

I wander through this world,
Yet my heart finds no peace.
Oh, let my beloved return to me,
Do not distract me with fleeting things.
At times, I stumble; at times, I rise,
But the path ahead remains unseen.
My heart is torn, burdened with pain,
Bring light to my eyes,
Bring light to my eyes.

Your moaning, my lamentation
The earth and the sky are very blue.
The flower is the caravan of your soul,
I am like a worn out old man.
I wander through this world,
Yet my heart finds no patience.
Oh, let my beloved return to me,
Do not distract me with fleeting things.
At times, I stumble; at times, I rise,
But the path ahead remains unseen.
My heart is torn, burdened with pain,
Bring light to my eyes,
Bring light to my eyes.

Why are you the dominant ones?
We are the helpless ones in this world.
I wander through this world,
Yet my heart finds no patience.
Oh, let my beloved return to me,
Do not distract me with fleeting things.
At times, I stumble; at times, I rise,
But the path ahead remains unseen.
My heart is torn, burdened with pain,
Bring light to my eyes,
Bring light to my eyes.

Awaken my heart, oh heart awaken.

Open your eyes, evening has come
